Connectivity is key to a strong community

In 2010, the United States had over 75+ million Catholics! That’s over 25% of the total population in the U.S. and yet we still see so many Catholics falling away from the faith.. In fact, our Catholic faith loses more members than any other religion in the United States! We analyzed this problem in detail and came up with a simple solution. Every strong Catholic community around the world has the same key factor. A strong community that is connected with each other and thus thriving!

The way to fixing this problem in our church is to create a connected community that enables communication with each other. Providing everyday Catholics with the ability to see how to get involved in their parish community and making them feel like they are truly a part of their community. We even take it a step further by opening up our platform to every young adult and enabling them to find things in their Catholic community, not just limiting it to their parish community.

Connectivity energizes evangelization. By creating connected communities we will be enabling Catholics to evangelize each other which ultimately is our duty as believers.

“Christ . . . fulfills this prophetic office, not only by the hierarchy . . . but also by the laity. He accordingly both establishes them as witnesses and provides them with the sense of the faith [Sensus fidei] and the grace of the word” To teach in order to lead others to faith is the task of every preacher and of each believer.

Following the call of the Holy Father and putting technology to work for the good of our church. Our church encourages all Catholics to work for the common good of our church using the means at our disposal. See “The Church and Internet” for more information on this. We used the means at our disposal to create the technology we saw our church could use. This technology is truly beautiful because anyone can join in and connect with their community. We even went a step further and added more than one language to enable a larger audience to start connecting. Although our technology is far from being perfected, we hope it is the first stepping stone to truly connecting our universal church.

Enable personal and spiritual growth in your communities. Through the Catholic Connect location based technology, Catholics will be able to find strong friendships rooted in Christ, groups that will enable spiritual formation, spiritual directors to guide them, events to participate in making them active members of the community, and ways to engage with business professionals that share the same values.

Reach out and engage with fallen away Catholics. Through our platform we enable Catholics to reengage with their Catholic communities and welcome them with open arms as the father welcomed his prodigal son.
